Description:
Whether for final theses such as Bachelor's and Master's theses, or also examination forms for integrated study programmes that require an expert opinion from the university as well as external persons - this feature offers flexible possibilities to syncretise as many expert opinions as desired and to implement multiple assessment runs.
Details:
In most cases, an assessment consists of an input field for a grade and a justification field. Any number of reviewers will receive access to the evaluation form in addition to the performance record. For external persons, this can be accessed via an invitation link. As with all examinations, the assessment entry for teachers at the university can be found under "performance entry" in the function menu of the examination.
As a rule, the different entries are compared by the Examinations Office and, in case of major discrepancies, a further assessment can be necessary. If the examination office confirms the grades, the middle value of all evaluations is automatically calculated.
Theoretically, fields can be accessed by different people to edit and read. For example, a rule can be set up so that students can view the evaluations (but not the individual grades) of the assessors if they pass or fail the examination. Individual comment fields can also be made visible to students in order to send direct feedback.
For some types of examinations, students can invite other assessors themselves. For example, in the case of integrated degree programmes, an assessor from their practical workplace could be specified. If one or more other persons are selected as second or third assessors, they can receive an automatically generated invitation link by e-mail. It is also possible to limit the choice of person, for example, only external persons or only internal persons (of a faculty) can be chosen.
