Swap of study places

Under certain circumstances, it is possible to swap places between admission-restricted courses of study, i.e. to transfer to another university. This is only possible if a partner is found who fulfills the same requirements as the student and vice versa. In order to find such partners, there are already a large number of study place exchange portals.

Applicants with an admission letter from an exchange partner do not have to go through the entire application process again at the new university, since their application has already been formally reviewed. After creating the user account for entering personal data, the option to select "Admission by exchange partner" can be set up. This selection option can still be enabled after the general application deadline. The admission letter is uploaded as a PDF and checked. This is followed by enrollment.
