Description:

The Dialog-Oriented Service Procedure (DoSV) is a Germany-wide application and admission procedure for undergraduate degree programs at German universities, which is coordinated by Hochschulstart.de. There, one can apply for up to 12 admission-restricted study programs at the same time. The online procedure attempts, through central administration, to fill all study places in the best possible way, thus avoiding multiple admissions. The aim is to distribute the students among the universities as smoothly as possible.

The DoSV is linked to other local processes. Therefore, this feature provides the interface to smoothly couple applications in DoSV with OpenCampus.

After the online application in DoSV, the collected applications are sent to the corresponding universities, which then conduct a university-specific selection process. The ranking lists are then sent back to DoSV, where the admission and waitlist procedure is carried out in a centralized manner. This feature helps to align the incoming and outgoing data records with the requirements of the DoSV and to integrate them smoothly into the university's internal selection process.
