PROMOS is a "programme to increase the mobility of students" of the DAAD. Every year, students and doctoral candidates from all faculties are supported with scholarship money for stays abroad of up to 6 months. The application and selection process for PROMOS scholarship holders takes place within the university. For this purpose, this feature offers extensive possibilities for streamlined and fully digital application processes for PROMOS.

For PROMOS applications, an extra category can be set up specifically for this purpose in the student's personal area. A flexible application form can cover all possible categories, be filled out online and submitted. In addition to information on the intention to study abroad, the funding period, financial and family situation, the letter of motivation and CV can also be integrated digitally. Finally, documents such as a language certificate and current transcript must be uploaded as a PDF.
An application period and deadline help to define a specific application window.
The applications submitted are reviewed internally by the responsible office at the university and evaluated by a committee. All applicants for PROMOS receive either a rejection letter or a scholarship contract, which they must sign and return.
PROMOS-funded students may also have to submit a report during or after the funding period. For this purpose, the submission deadline can be calculated automatically based on the funding period and displayed to the students. The report can be uploaded online as a PDF.
Finally, students receive a scholarship certificate after submitting the report. This can be provided as a PDF, which students can download at any time. Certified copies can also be sent by post.
