Description:

Students above age 21 starting their first undergraduate degree are usually considered mature students, as well as students who start their postgraduate studies over 25 years of age. Depending on the institution, mature students do or do not require formal education and in most cases their experience is considered in the application processes.
For most undergraduate programs mature students will apply in UCAS just like any other applicant. Some universities also wish to create separate application processes for mature students, as it may be they consider their work and life experience sufficient to study even without fulfilling the usual requirements of formal education.
This feature can do both: For applications coming in via UCAS, the category for mature students can help to configure different rules and evaluation criteria in the admission process. For in-house applications, additional categories such as detailed information about relevant work experiences can be easily added in the flexible application form. The smart form can automatically detect criteria to classify students as mature students by the entry of their age or, if defined differently, by the gap between the previous formal education.
