Double degree
Application and admission to a double degree program, also known as dual degree, combined or joint degree programs.Used by:
Description:
It is formally possible to study two degree programs within the university or across universities at the same time, as long as it is not the same degree program twice. For this purpose, the normal application process for the respective degree programs is followed. In the subject-specific application form, an additional option of double degree can be added, whereupon further desired details can be requested.
If more than one admission-restricted degree program is involved, some universities require an additional approval process for the double degree. A request form can be integrated into the application form and digitally transmitted to the reviewing authority. The review of the approval process then represents an extra loop in the application selection process. The application is only processed further after a positive decision has been made on the request of double degree studies.
By embedding this approval process into the regular application process, all data is available at any time. No postal documents have to be manually assigned to applications and the workload is minimized.
