Description:

The room database is a comprehensive, flexible store of all room data. These can be described precisely using versatile information such as size and equipment. The room database thus provides the basis for all room management processes such as searching for a room and room reservations and bookings.

There is a separate entry for each room, to which any number of relevant details can be added. These are among others:

  • Size (additionally divisible into seats and maximum capacity)
  • Equipment (beamer, flipcharts, sockets, blackboards,...)
  • Type of room (e.g. lecture hall or seminar room)
  • Affiliation (institute as well as superordinate faculty; library,...)
  • Location (address, room number and floor, link to interactive room search)
  • Barrier-free accessibility
  • Special features (free text entry)
  • Booking rules (e.g. released for student bookings or for administration only)
  • Available period (e.g. opening hours of the building, accessibility at weekends)
  • Additional information such as parking facilities
  • Distances between buildings for a calculation of the transfer time

The flexible forms can be extended by any criteria of your wish. With multiple filter options, the room database can be searched for any criteria. You can thus easily make a list of for example all rooms with a minimum capacity of 400 persons which are available at a certain date to find a suiting room for an event.
