Description:

The teaching load refers to the teaching obligation of the teaching staff of a higher education institution, stated in semester hours per week. There are different specifications for the type of employment at colleges and universities, which additionally vary in the federal states. The teaching loads are determined according to the specifications and the number of hours in the teaching stuff file. This feature offers extensive functions for administrative processes related to teaching loads: Applications for reductions and possible credits as well as tracking and documentation.

Details:

By booking a teacher into courses and examinations, the hours worked are automatically detected. In the event of deviations from the regular workload, compensation can be saved for the following semester.

When filling positions within the framework of academic self-administration, such as Dean or President, but also special work in administration (e.g. coordination of study programmes) or research in special research areas, teachers can apply for a reduction in their teaching load. Teachers can easily submit such an application online in the personal area of their user account. In addition to the justification, the application can also contain further details such as the period of time, the desired reduction and more. The application is then submitted digitally. After digital transmission, the application is checked and evaluated by the administration. Queries can also be made via a contact function.

The application for credits works in a similar way: Here, for example, further training, business trips or practice visits can be indicated. If the application is approved, the corresponding amount is added to the settlement list and the applicant can download a receipt as a PDF.

The settlement list provides the administration with an overview of all debits as well as additional imputations. Automatic payments can be initiated at the appropriate time. The current receipts are then available for download as a PDF in the teachers' personal area.
