Affiliate students, also known as affiliates, can have two different meanings: Either they are going for a second undergraduate degree after successfully completing one, or they are taking courses at a different institution while still being enrolled in their degree program.
In the first case, affiliate students who wish to study a second undergraduate degree have to complete the regular application process. Within this, details about the previous studies have to be provided and usually certain minimum grades of the first degree have to be met.
In the second case, students of another institution can join single classes or also study for a certain period as affiliate students. Also exchange students such as ERASMUS may be categorizes as affiliate students. Sometimes also students who wish to study models from different faculties within their own institution may be called affiliates. To become an affiliate student usually an application has to be filed.
